This Week!
Cordyline australis "Torquay Palm"

Oops! I am late preparing this one. I tell you what, we'll let this offer run for an extra week. These plants are a lovely size in large 5 litre pots and standing over a metre tall (including the pot). Normal price £9.90

This week (and a bit) only Special Offer £7 each or £6 each for 3 or more!

Cordyline are another surprising herb plant, reputedly capable of producing more sugar than than sugar beet! They are happy in a pot but give their best planted out in any ordinary garden soil where they can grow 30cm each year. These Australasian natives are not true palms but are hardy and probably offer the easiest way to give your garden the 'Sub-tropical Look'.

Offer ends 17th November and the usual "not in conjunction with any other offer" applies.

Our opening times have been revised

We will close on Wednesdays from 30th September whilst we search for yet more interesting herbal plants to offer you. But don't worry, we will be open for you to see our wonderful range on Thursday morning at 9am as usual. Full details of our opening times can be found on our contacts page.

Keyhole Gardening

After seeing this video, we want to make a keyhole garden at Coppins.

This is well worth a look if you are interested in growing vegetables in a small space but why not try the same principle for a raised herb or flower garden?

 Lemon Balm Tea Recipe

To make your own herbal tea, to drink either hot or cold, simply follow Coppins' simple recipe for a relaxing cuppa from your own grown herbs.

You'll want to boil the kettle while chopping fresh lemon balm. Then add one tablespoon of the fresh chopped leaves into a mug of hot water and leave there for fifteen minutes. You may wish to add honey or sugar to sweeten this relaxing cup to suit your taste.

Balm is a calming and restorative herb.
